Graduated from the Institute for Political Sciences, Pierre Sanner has started his professional career at the Pompidou Center where he was in charge of the publications department (foreign rights and marketing department). For various structures he has developed different cultural projects to promote contemporary arts and culture in France as well as in South Africa. He is currently the Director of the Mission Française du Patrimoine et des Cultures Alimentaires (MFPCA) which is the organisation that was in charge of the “gastronomic meal of the french” application to the ICH of the Unesco. The MFPCA is coordinating the “Cité de la Gastronomie’s network” which gathers four main french cities and built a new generation of cultural equipment dedicated to food. The MFPCA is particularly committed to promote gastronomy and culinary arts in France and world wide.
