Maximilian J.W Thomae was born on January 14th, 1967 in Germany. He completed his education in Professional and Business School in 1987. He worked at the Boettner Restaurant, the Nymphenburger Hof Restaurant and two Michelin-starred Tantris restaurants. Thomae came to Turkey in 1993 and worked at Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn Hotel Istanbul and Movenpick Hotel. Prior to the opening of 5-star CVK Park Bosphorus Hotel and 5-star Pera Palace Hotel, he started working as the Executive Chef. He is the director of Gastronometro, a platform of culinary discovery which is Metro Turkey’s investment to Turkish gastronomy, since 2014.
